Statement by organisation Hellmond Open Air: “Unfortunately, we are forced to cancel Hellmond Open Air. Although the pre-sale for the festival went very well and we were looking forward to another fun edition, among other things, the problems surrounding the granting of permits are a reason to cancel the event. In a time when many festivals are collapsing, partly due to increased costs, but also due to increased and sometimes even excessive rules regarding safety, we cannot afford to take any risks.
Recently, the half marathon in the municipality of Helmond was canceled at the last minute because no permit was granted, and we want to prevent such a scenario for Hellmond Open Air.”
